Thoughts after Week 5...The "We'll take it" edition

Another week in the books and the 2010 regular season is half over. The Riders are 4-1 (2-0 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference)....but far from where they want to be in terms of a playoff-ready team.  Let's talk about the 28-14 win over Mansfield Senior and another dominating performance by the "Red Curtain" defense.  We'll also address the sputtering of the offense over the last few weeks.

Thoughts After Week 4...Plus Bobby Knight.

Sorry for being a day late on this one....I know it's how all of you wind down on your Sunday evening and prepare for another week leading up to Red Rider football.  Thanks to all of you, ok just one of you, who reminded me and kept me on the ball.

Anyway....another week, another win...ho-hum right?  Great start to the Ohio Cardinal Conference portion of the schedule, and just like last years win over Lexington, it's a big hurdle cleared on what is hopefully a 6-week run to the playoffs and maybe even an OCC title (something that Orrville has never won outright).

Let's talk about it all.

Thoughts after Week 3

After sending the final text message update of the evening...reporting the 34-33 Copley win in double overtime, I received a reply that summed it up perfectly.

"Bummer."

Yep.

Let's discuss it. I'll always be here, after big wins and tough losses.

Thoughts after Week 2 - That was fun wasn't it?

These kinds of wins are the best ones to talk about.  What an improvement from week 1 to week 2.....and for the first time since the 2000 season, your Red Riders are 2-0.

Credit for the picture (click to see fullsize) goes to local photographer Rod Dilyard.  Check out his complete gallery here.

I guess it's time to load up the bandwagon and talk about all this.
