On Campus: Orrville Alumni - Week 1

Week 1 saw a few Red Rider alumni in action, including a good statistical performance by 2004 grad and Western Michigan QB Tim Hiller.

Hiller's team traveled to Lincoln and lost to Nebraska 47-24 in front of 80,000 Husker fans.

Tim's numbers were very impressive......30-49, 342 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT.

It was Tim's 6th 300 yd+ passing game, putting him 2nd on the all-time list at WMU.

“He had a shaky start, but played really well after about the third series,” Cubit observed. “He played exceptionally well. He was tough. He threw the ball real well. I think he threw for 340 yards. It was probably one of his better days.”
The other lone Red Rider alum in action was Ashland U. senior Tom Brenner, he had 6 tackles (4 solo and 2 assisted) including 2 tackles for losses in a 49-42 loss to Bloomsburg.

Next weeks post should be a little busier with the kickoff of Malone (Brynt Werntz) and Heidelberg (Tony McMorrow & Steven Carozza) seasons. Ohio Northern (Kyle Simmons and Josh Bowman) doesn't get started until September 13th.

Good Luck Rider alumni!!
