Chase (who according to the Daily Record had 413 tackles, 40 tackles for loss and 14 sacks over the past 3 seasons) and Sam are finish their days of football at Orrville as 2-Time All-Ohioans.   I will say this as delicately as possible....Sam has All-Ohio talent and his graduation will create a huge void in the Rider attack next year, but I don't think he had a First Team All-Ohio type of year, statistically at least. (34 receptions, 631 yds, 10 TD). But if there's one thing that's proven every year, it's that All-Ohio honors are based off more than just stats. If only stats were looked at then Triway's Cole Drake (75 rec. 965 yds, 11 TD) would have been first team too.

Sam certainly has game changing talent, and we saw that in the Genoa game, and he made his share of big catches, but just not enough big yardage games for me to say without a doubt that he's a first teamer.

It's an imperfect system that sometimes leaves off deserving players and vice versa...and we see examples of that every year.

I'm glad Tre got the honor, it rewards his very productive season, and maybe gives him something to shoot for next season.  It's been a long time since we've had back to back 1,000 yd. rushing seasons from one back.  Tre has a real shot at that next year.

Dennis is just a special athlete.  It's quite rare to be an All-Ohioan in multiple sports, he can now claim that accomplishment, and has a chance to become a 2 time all-Ohioan in wrestling this year.
