College: Hiller Ties Record...Simmons named Player of the Week

Two Orrville alumni QB's had big weekends in the college ranks.

Tim Hiller tied the Western Michigan school record for career touchdown passes in a 58-26 win over Toledo. For the game he threw for 270 yards and 3 TD, giving him 87 for his career, tying him with Tim Lester. The 87 TD passes are also good enough for 3rd all-time in the MAC, with the record being 100 held by Chad Pennington.

Tim & the Broncos face Central Michigan this Saturday in a big matchup in Kalamazoo.

Ohio Northern's Kyle Simmons was named the OAC Player of the Week for his performance in a 38-7 win over Heidelberg. He threw for 280 yds and a TD, and ran for 65 yards and 3 TD's.

Kyle is 2nd in the OAC in total offense per game, averaging 258.8 yds per game.
