Who: Orrville Red Riders (4-3, 3-1) vs. Mansfield Madison Rams (1-6, 1-3)
Where: Ram Field - Mansfield (Click Here for Map & Directions)
When: Friday October 16th, 7:00pm

All Time Series: Orrville leads 23-15-1 (Click here for detail)
Last Meeting: 2008 (Orrville won 41-7)
Last Week: Orrville lost to Ashland 14-13, Madison lost to Clear Fork 55-13.
Coaches: Doug Davault is 27-13 and in his 4th year as Red Rider coach. Kevin Maltarich is in his first year as Ram head coach.

Radio: Game will be broadcast on the web at Click here to find the game.

First of all, I had to ditch the old Ram helmet in the graphic above, because the Rams are wearing just a script/Old English "R" on their helmet. Too bad really, that ram horn is a classic look.

The 40th meeting of the Rams and Red Riders will be held this Friday with both teams coming off losses. Orrville is 7-3 at Ram Field since the two teams renewed their rivalry back in 1989.

Madison has struggled in 2009 under first year coach Kevin Maltarich, and has given up an average of 53 points per game since a week 4 win over West Holmes.

The Red Riders come off a tough 14-13 loss to Ashland, making the remaining 3 games must wins if they are to play a part in deciding the OCC championship. Three wins would also almost guarantee the Riders the chance to host a week 11 playoff game at Red Rider Stadium.

Orrville RB Tre Simpson has 727 yards on the season, and will hope to take another step towards 1000 yds for the season. The last Rider to eclipse 1000 yds in a season was DeMarkus Robinson back in 2000 (he ran for 1241 that season).

The weather may again play a factor, and most fields in the area have seen better days.

Prediction: I think the Riders get back on track this week and win a sloppy game, 33-7. Orrville 44-10
Drew Pastuer's Fantastic 50: Orrville by 26 (same as I'm predicting)
Daily Record: I'll say 9-0 Orrville.
