Volleyball & Football Ticket Info...and Rosey!!!

I'm sorry if you've already got this info from the Booster Club via e-mail....just doing my part to get the word out.

Below is ticket info for Thrusday's volleyball match with Gilmour Academy, Friday's football playoff game versus Triway....and info on Orrville senior Nathan Rosenbaum running in the state cross country meet.

Thanks to Kent Smith and Deb Goudy in the athletic office for getting this info out to the masses.

If anyone is planning to attend all three (and possibly four if the girls win on Thursday), give me a shout.  Got an idea for a little road-trip assignment.

Volleyball Tickets
Game is Thursday at 6pm at Barberton High School.  Click here for directions.  Gates open at 5pm.

I recommend taking the scenic route through Barberton and stopping at Milich's for a plate of chicken.  Google Maps says this way is 1 minute quicker (than going Route 21 to 76 E to Barber Rd)...so win/win.

Tickets will be on-sale at the OHS athletic office today through the end of the day on Thursday.  They will also be sold at Carmichael Sports until 1pm Thursday.  $6 presale, $8 at the gate.  Orrville gets a cut of the presale, so do that.

Football Tickets
*********This game begins at 7:30pm, not 7pm**********
Same deal here.  Orrville gets a cut of the presale.  Here's how they'll be allocated.

6pm to 7pm Tuesday -Season ticket holders may purchase the same seats they had during the regular season.

7pm to 8pm Tuesday - The remaining season tickets as well as general admission tickets will go on sale.

Wednesday through Friday - Tickets on sale at the OHS athletic office as well as Carmichael Sports.  Ticket sales end at 3pm on Friday.

All presale tickets are $7.00, and are $9.00 at the gate.  Save $2 & waiting in line Friday and get them early.  No charge for parking either.  I'm glad they don't but wish they would...$1 per car would be a nice fundraiser for some group at the school.

Cross Country Info
The Division 2 boys state run will start at 11:50am this Saturday November 6th.  The meet is held at Scioto Downs in Columbus.  Directions are here.  It's on the south side of the 270 bypass, right about two hours drive time.  Admission is $9.00.

Good luck Nathan.

I always wondered why we never charged for parking at games. Like you said $1 a car could do a lot for a sports team, group, or club at the High School.

I wonder what the reasoning is behind this?

I know they're worried about traffic jams, but have people get cars off the road first, then into the parking lot of the field, then collect the money. They do it every year in Canton and nobody bats an eyelash.
